Begin a race in original mode. Pause the race, press [Up, Down] five times, then hold X + Y + Z and press Start.

Select starting position
Enter one of following controller actions after selecting your transmission type.

Select laps
Enter one of the following controller actions at the track selection screen:

1	Hold R + X + Y and press Start

6	Hold R + Z and press Start
